The results of tests carried out with animals have been positive, so the vaccine has entered the human trial phase and is being applied to patients with melanoma, one of the most aggressive types of skin cancer.

During the next 4 years, the last stage of trials will be carried out on patients, of a vaccine with dendritic cells that have the characteristic of phagocytizing tumor cells, according to Dr. José Mordoh, director of the team of researchers of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research and the Fundación Instituto Leloir of Argentina.
